Early hand wrought suffolk style or "Bean" thumb latch
suffolk Style Latches were made by many Blacksmiths across the country in the
Late 18th Early 19th Century
Handle measures 7-1/2" high. 5 1/4" lift bar with mount, restored jamb mount keeper
Thumb bar extends 1 1/2" when mounted. the thumb lift protrudes through the door and sits under the lift bar to use as a lift on the inside
Subtract the door thickness from the length of the thumb bar to be sure you have enough to lift from the other side
