Early hand wrought suffolk style or "Bean" thumb latch
suffolk Style Latches were made by many Blacksmiths across the country in the
Late 18th Early 19th Century
Handle measures 8" high. 6 3/4" lift bar with mount, Jamb mount keeper
Thumb bar extends 2" when mounted. the thumb lift protrudes through the door and sits under the lift bar to use as a lift on the inside
Subtract the door thickness from the length of the thumb bar to be sure you have enough to lift from the other side
